1997 GTI - how to remove air intake grate on front of body?

Looking at the schematics...there doesn't seem to be any fasteners...does it just pull off?

Yep, there's a couple of plastic nubs, just push from front to back and lift out. Oh, remove the front storage bin first.

I just noticed the previous owner had silicone sealed the crap out of this one...once I got the black inner liner off the inside of the storage cover.
