I’ve got a working Gauge from Westside Powersports. Fuel baffle has been checked and in good working order. How to I remove the gauge itself?

The new gauge shows there are threads. I don’t see a plastic nut like on my 96 GSX OR XP?

Push the gauge right through the rubber. There is a little keyway type slot when you go back with the new gauge. I'd put alittle something slick on the rubber for reinstalling but not to slick or greasy. Just a touch. Good Luck. Be gentle as the plastic can get brittle.

Thanks came out easy! I was looking for some kind of big nut. The four wires that go into MPEM plug can I just use the little push tool to remove those?

Not sure exactly what you are seeing but a push tool will remove the wires from the plug and let you see the condition of the plug if dirty. Open the little wings on the plugs so they lock in better when you reinstall. Gently and not very much. Good Luck.

NOTE: I've had some floats get saturated and even though the sensor functions and gauge reads when I install it the sumbish is dead on the bottom LOL. Put that float in a cup of gas just to check it out. Once N Done. LOL Fuel Gauges that work or hella cool !!

Used the little hollow punch tool. Worked great. Everything buttoned back up and working now! Old gauge had something rattling in it. Pulled off the rubber boot and a couple rusted pieces fell out. That gauge went to the trash.
