hey guy i just bought a 1997 sea doo gsx 787. it ran fine for the first few days i had it and now randomly it just cuts out on me. i brought it to the shop and they cant seem to figure it out, i was talking to a guy there and he said it might be my computer. any suggestions

OK

I suppose you have gotten rid of all the gray fuel lines already?

I got one last wk. It had the gray fuel lines. It ran fine for 2 hrs, then started bogging down, and would not take throttle. Turns out that lines were deteriorating into the fuel, and that the scum was clogging the carb fuel filter. It took all day to get the little filter cleaned up. That stuff is nasty!

ya that was one of the first things i did. it runs fine, it doesnt bog or any thing like that. it just shuts off, then i take the key out wait a few seconds plug it back in and it works again.

Are you getting 2 beeps everytime you install the Lanyard. It might be a dirty lanyard post. I would start by cleaning the Post on the safety lanyard. It is beeping and saying it isn't connecting to the Mpem, (Multi Purpose Electronic Module) It needs to beep 2 times to let you know it is ready to start. Clean the post and cap with soapy water. Don't use any grease of lubricant on it as it needs a clean connection to make contact. Connect the lanyard to see if it is making a connection. 2 beeps and it's ready to fire up.
It could be a bad lanyard post also, but try this first.
