1997 GS randomly cutting out

I just bought a 97 GS from a coworker who got stuck moving. Today I took it out for the second time and everything was normal for the first half hour or so and then the whole thing randomly shut off while at almost full throttle. I disconnected and reconnected the key and got it restarted, it ran fine for a bit and then just shut off again. I repeated this whole thing at irregular intervals until I got it back to the dock and on the trailer. It wasn't beeping or anything, and it seemed like the whole thing just randomly lost electrical power. I put in a new battery last week and this was the second time it ran with that battery. I just tested the voltage on the battery and it was normal. I'm stumped and just wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

Thanks

Same problem

How are you doing? Was this problem resolved?

I have a 1996 GSX that cuts out at speed. It can restart in a minute but will cut out if I get up to speed.

Induction coil pickup could be cracking and intermittently working.

Oh, and check the ignition box to make sure there is no water in there.

First repair.....

I am going to replace the gray tubing, clean / replace the carb filters, check the one way valves,

I do get a Maint display each time I run/test the machine. Why do I get a Maint display if it is a fuel problem?

There is no water in the box and the coil 'looks' clean.
