Hello,
Here is the story:
The engine starts fine, goes to 3K rpm fine thereafter till 5K rpm seems to start shuts down and rattle, after 5K rpm working perfect.
Last weekend went to the lake and run it for about 45 minutes at around 30MPH, suddenly on 6.5K rpm engine drops rpm's and runned at 3K rpm (no more) for few minutes, thereafter shuts down. No warning light, everything seems to be fine. Waited about 10 minutes started it and it worked as before fine.
This shut down was a little bit scary in the middle of the lake.
I checked gas lines and filter, everything seems to be fine.
Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey...install new plugs, cut plug wires back quarter inch from the boots, and clean your raves., also, go thru carbs, maybe internal filter/s are clogged.

Plugs are new, carb is rebuild. Rave didn't check yet, may be, but shouldn't they affect it from the start to 3-4K rpm?
Thanks.

My understanding of the valves, is, works off exhaust pressure, so it helps keep motor on the "band".???....if it's not lifting, than motor is chok'n with exhaust fumes.
Looks and reading, these aint difficult to go thru, but dont mess with red dot, guess its a setting that doesn't get turned.

What's bothering me is that motor went into the "safe" mode and operated under 3K. Someone mentioned me it could be Ignition Module. Could it be?
Don't want to change it for nothing, since it seems like new and it's very expensive one. Any ideas?
Thanks.
