1997 challenger 1800

me and my family are looking at a 1997 challenger 1800 with the twin 800cc Rotax engines that are oil-injected to purchase and I was wondering if this is a good boat and how much it would cost to rebuild just one motor. Thanks

I'd say its a good boat, twin 800's...., check out sbtontheweb.com, they'll have a price, w' core exchange, and you doing the install yourself, around 1200ish, w/2yr warr., also, being 97', i'd go thru the fuel system, and rebuild the carbs...

Don't buy a Challenger. I have one and have spent more time repairing or doing maintenance on it than enjoying on the lake. Its a bumpy miserable ride. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you must buy a jet boat, buy a Yamaha, its much better boat.
