1997 challenger 1800 weedless swap?

Hi I am just finishing up a complete restore of a 1800. I was wanting to know of there was a way to retro fit a 98 weed less system to a 97 weedless system. Any information is appreciated!

I`m pretty sure the hulls are the same, I don`t see why not, but have you checked out any illustration in the shop or parts manual to see if there are any differences?

The fiche look the same and the fingers carry the same part#

Are the two weed less systems the same? Or is the 98 a different design from the 97 system

They both seem the same, you'd have to compare every last part# but the fingers and cables I think all carried the same part numbers for both years
