1997 Challenger 1800 no fire at the spark plug

For those who have helped me with my other post and get this far, thank you.

Presently, I have no spark at the plug and no power at the coil when I crank either engine. I just ran a diagnostic at the DESS post and got a continual beep, which I believe means the engine is overheating. Which makes sense as they died just as they reached normal operating temp. Is there a safety feature somewhere that kills the spark to prevent overheating? Would this also pop a 5amp fuse for the MPEM?
