Hi guys

Bought a 1997 XP Ltd Bombardier. Absoloutly mint condition, just a few technical Glitches.

1. Throttle Sticks too much, is there easy way to fix this?

2. Fuel Gauge does not work, is there a way to repair/replace this. The guy said that it needs a new chip. Not sure about this tho.

3. Battery goes flat overnight, where can i find a cheap one?

Also i would really like to know where i would get spare parts for it for the future.

Thanks in advance

Rhys

3. "Battery... Where can I find a cheap one?" I wouldn't go cheap on your battery. Buy a good name brand battery so that it will last and perform well.

As for spare parts... check eBay. There are people that part these boats out, so I'm sure that you could find some parts there. :)

thanks, do you know of a good battery and roughly how much it would cost? Also i really need to get the fuel gauge working...any ideas on why it aint working?

thanks in advance

Rhys

Lube the cable with Bombardier lube spray on both ends of the cable. Check for kinks that might be causing binding. Disconnect cable from carb linkage and see if the carb arm rotates and springs back freely. If it doesn't, then the throttle plate bushing may need to be replaced.

Follow this guide to work on the fuel gauge problem:http://seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=5826

Sears, motorcycle shop, even any place that has 12V lawnmower batteries. I recommend a sealed version for low maintenance even though it costs more. And don't buy a new battery without buying a Battery Tender to take care of the battery in the off-season - otherwise you just buy new batteries every year.

Ebay warning....

Although I buy from ebay, "buyer beware"......!

There have been a couple members in the forum that have ordered parts from ebay and they didn't exactly match the description of what it was they purchased. One, a stator for the mag and it was a non working stator. I suggested it be sent back or inform ebay. He'll probably get his money back in the long run, but maybe not. The point is, he wanted to ride that weekend. Now, he's stuck without the part and paying again for the same part, so "buyer beware".....make sure you do your homework with Ebay!
