Hi guys, old Seadoo guy here (15-20 years ago) so old guy period :)
I have looked thru a 1998 manual and couldn't find my answers...realizing that there is a difference in 97.5 and 98 and that could be an issue with me looking at 98 drawings.

I just bought this GSX to let my granddaughter drive around. The pump was already removed and some lines are off. With me not taking it apart and nothing to look at, I could use some guidance on the lines.

1. The left side 3 port solenoid is missing a hose off the rear of it. Side hose goes to front carb, front hose goes to Tee above muffler (Tee in question 2) First picture
(I am calling it a solenoid, looks just like the one that the rave valves go to on the right side of hull with a wire connection)

2. There is a Tee fitting above the muffler, the center nipple has the line going toward the rear and around to the front of solenoid in question #1, there is nothing off each side of the Tee. Second picture.

3. The third picture I know is hard to see, two loose hoses. The red goes out the back hull. The yellow goes under the engine up beside fuel tank. Both are on the left (port) side of engine.

Yea, I should not have bought a project :-o

That was the 1st model to have the type 947/951 so it's the one that had to be registered with the EPA. That is a solenoid like the rave solenoid but it was used to lean out the carbs. It is very common for those to be unhooked and should not hurt the performance of the ski.

Thanks, Yes that sounds like a good plan but not knowing what is missing concerns me. Some lines may not be for the lean out function, like the two that are loose.

It is a model 5625. The amplifier is like a holding solenoid on a 96XP. It is built into the MPEM on later models.
