Hi to you all,
I have a problem with my ski. I have just put a new engine in a 1996 xp. There is a hose fiting (nipple) coming from the side of the engine that i dont know where it goes too. It is located on the magneto side of engine. At the bottom/farside of the barrel. I think it is a breather for the engine? Think it goes to the top of my oil bottle? Also on the carbs there is a nipple that says "pulse" on it? Dont know what hose is supposed to go on here?: Any help will be great. Many thanks..:):)

Oil lines....

You have two oil lines coming from the bottom of the oil tank. One of them, with the inline oil filter, goes to the front of the magneto where the oil injection pump is. It must connect there and, if not used in some time, needs to be primed for injecting oil into your engine. If you using premix, just block that line off.

The other line from the bottom of the tank, goes into a fittinf on the left side of the engine, about mid way down, near the crankshaft. It's for supplying oil to your rotary chamber. This is necessary to keep it from locking up your crankshaft. The oil line coming out from under your carbs is the oil line return and goes to the top of your oil tank.

The rotary chamber is an oil bath for the worm gear that drives your rotary valve. If you go oil premix, this oil system must remain intact with the engine. No way out of that one. Good luck.........
