Again, I need the benefit of your infinite wisdom. The starter for the left engine was starting the engine just fine and then all of a sudden now it just spins. The starter spins very well but apparently whatever it's called that kicks out to turn the engine isn't doing it's job. The right engine starts right up. My manual said to check the solenoid in the hot box. Since the Speedster has 3 solenoids, one for each engine and a jumper, I thought I would switch the jumper and the left engine solenoids. Didn't make a difference. Manual also said to check ground wires. They're fine. Any solutions, ideas or suggestions? I'm a newbie at this but trying to learn and understand these engines. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and God Bless! Jim

Checking the ground, and the solenoids aren't the problem. You said the starter spins... so they are working. The problem is the bendex. Either it's not kicking out, or the one-way bearing in it has gone bad. So... take the starter out, and get a better look.

Does the starts´ shaft and gearwheel move out from the start when you try to start up? That has to meet the engines "gearwheel" when you start.
