I replaced both pistons and jugs due to 0 compression when I first got the boat. It has never worked right. Been chasing an overheating problem since I got it. Yesterday I took off exhaust and intake to verify there are no clogs. Saw a couple drops of water on the pistons and PTO piston has broken rings and a piece of the edge missing. Pulled the jugs and there is water in the crank. Am I screwed? Am I looking at a new motor?

Change all the seals ! Crank seal is a pain to replace... i could not remove the PTO ... try heat and vibration with a hammer... i gave up!
Hopping the crank seals are good...

I see I can get a rebuilt engine from SBT for $745. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much a shop might charge to install it? I tired of messing with this and want it done right.
