Hi Guys!

I have been reading the past threads and fixed alot of things. I have a question maybe yall can help with.

Seadoo was running great then started bogging down WOT, idles great.

Cleaned RAVE's
changed out grey fuel lines
Cleaned exhaust RAVE
cleaned the inline fuel filter

Ran better but after warm up still same problem.

drained gas, put new 89 octane in
cleaned the two filters inside the carbs, the second carb filter was black from the grey hoses deteriating.

Ran better than it ever has for about 15 minutes then started bogging again. Not nearly as bad as it was though.

What did I miss or what can I do next?

Thanks!! Staronn

Welcome to the seadoo forum Staronn. I would stick with the recommended fuel 87 octane. Did you clean the complete carbs of just the filters? Chances are that the black gunk is in the passages of the carburetor. You need to use compressed air or carburetor cleaner to clean out all the passages and the needle and seat to get it cleaned properly. If you already did this, than it is possible it needs a rebuild kit. I hope this info helps. If you still have questions or get in a jam give us a shout.

Hi KustomKarl,

I have my hood up and the seat off for some time, went to go explore my problems and noticed my fuel take looked bloated. I unscrewed the gas cap and it released alot of pressure.

Is it possible the gas tank pressure release and the bogging down could have a connection?

The gas tank pressure relief hose is grey line going to the air hole. It is the only grey hose left, I changed all others.

I'm not sure and wanted to ask.

Thanks!

Karl,

One more thing just in case its something I have done...:)

I changed the fuel baffle float which works great now but the problems occered shortly after. I never thought to fish out the old magnets if any. I didnt look at the old float and verify.

Could this possibly be my problem?

Thanks again, Staronn:cheers:

If you still have the magnets in the tank then they are still in the bottom...too heavy to go in the fuel lines. The bloating tank...I would replace the Gray Hose there too, and check the vent, it shouldn't get bloated. If it isn't venting out, it isn't venting in either...check the vent.
