I just noticed that my water flow regulator is leaking (from the bottom of the black cup) It seems to be tight so I suspect there is another problem.

I have seen on this forum that it may be a small boot in this piece. I would assume that to be the "bellow" on the parts fiche? There is water in the housing under the cap, so I would guess it is shot. I don't really want to spend $$$ on a whole unit if the boot/bellow is replacable. The parts fich makes it look easy to service; any opinions on if that's the case?

I've read KustomKarls advice on recalibrating the unit. Man this is a great site; my first post, and I've spent the last few hours searching for "stuff". Truly a great resource here.

Grit....

Most of the time, the water leaks back through the needle seat from blockage. You can remove this by un-screwing it from the water box. Then, once it's out, look at the brass fitting. Without changing the setting of the cap, remove that brass fitting. This will expose the brass seat and needle. You'll probably find the grit in there. Clean it out and reassemble it and see if it still leaks.

The leaking is caused from the back pressure...............

Many thanks. I will try cleaning that. I assume by the "setting" of the cap, that you mean the "red screw of overheating death if I mess with it"?
