I have a 96 xp and the engine turns over and runs sometimes. Last time I took it out it like stalled and I could gas it or else it would stall. It would just run as so idle speed. I have a video that shows my problem

Check the ground going from battery into electrical box.its held on by a metal course thread lag bolt and its not stainless.if it was a carb issue it would puke and fart a second yours sounds like it's loosing spark.thats why your getting fuel burning off.but never over look carbs though.put a inline spark tester on it and see if your loosing spark

Which electrical box. The one right next to the battery or in the front of the ski

How could it be spark. When it’s warm it idles just fine it does that if i gas it

Clean it clean it check it check where it goes thru the box.pill the cover off the connector.diagnose it.did you check and see if your loosing spark.been a 30 sea doo factory tech so take what I suggest with a grain of salt

I replaced the spark plugs and it started right
up
