Hi everyone, I am new to the forum but my first ordeal just came up. I was supposed to go look at a 1996 challenger tomorrow but the guy just called me today and said that when he went to fire it up, he saw water coming out of the head. He then proceeded to tell me that he would get it fixed and give me a call when that was done. My question is, is this a serious problem where I should reconsider buying this boat? I dont want to get stuck with a problem child. Any tips/advice would be much appreciated as I am not so mechanically incline when it comes to boats. Thank You in advance!

Might just be a cooling line that broke. Unless he didn't winterize it right since I see your in Green Bay. If the engine is bad you will be able to get a very good deal. Either way a 96 with no proof of an engine swap or hours will not pull much.

Well, seller wanted $3000 on craigslist. Thought I could get it for under $2500 but now I am thinking under $1500...is that resonable? If I did decide to jump on thsi boat, what are the estimated costs of an engine swap or rebuild?!
