1996 seadoo challenger randomly dies and starts again

Hey guys new to the forum, i got a question that i just cant find the answer to, anyway i have a 1996 seadoo challenger single engine, i took it out this last weekend and i was riding for about 45 minutes to an hour and suddenly it just shut off, it would not restart, it wouldnt even turn over, and the gauges wouldnt cycle like they usually do. after about 25 minutes of messing with the key and post i ended up getting pulled back to shore, i pushed the boat onto the trailer pulled it out of the water walked back to it and it fired right up. i drove it home walked back to it again and it fired right back up again. Any info on this would be apprecaited as i do not want to be stranded on the lake again! thanks everyone!

Try replacing the post, it’s not terribly expensive, I had one that kept shutting down for that reason

Pressing the start/stop button will make the gauges move. You getting 2 beeps? I would think you have a bad connection somewhere did you mess with fuses or anything while you were out there?
