I bought a 1996 Sea Doo Speedster. One of the engines has oil in the intake manifold and oil in the exhaust manifold. The engine will not run. Does anyone know where the oil would be coming from? I have the engine out of the boat. Any idea on how to repair?

Crankshaft seal is bad. If it sits for a while the oil seeps past the seal and into the lower block area. When you crank the engine the oil is sucked into the piston on the intake stroke.

Pull the plugs and crank the engine to get rid of the oil. CAUTION !!!! Oil will come out at great force and go everywhere.

Make sure you replace oil in the tank. Install a shutoff valve in the oil line. Turn it off when the ski sits. Do not forget to turn it on when running the ski.

Thank you for the information. Do you think it would be ok to check the compression and reinstall engine? Any suggestions on how to clean up all the oil that is everywhere?
