1996 model Xp wont start

I took it to the lake we rode it for a few hours it ran fine. i hit a big wave it was like someone just pulled the key out. i fired it right back up and took off. i got to the other side of the lake hit another wave and it died again. i took my son in and went out by myself as soon as i got out of the no wake zone i nailed it got up to abou 40 mph or high rpms did not hit a wave or anything and it died. i fired it up did it one more time with the same outcome. i took it in and loaded it changed the plugs and took it back out. it seemed real peppy at first i took off and thought it was fixed got to the other end of the lake at full throttle and it just died again i then rode it to te other side of the lake at half throttle and it seemed fine got to full throttle again and it died and would not start. i loaded it AGAIN and changed the plugs tried to fire it up dry and it would not start sounded like it wanted to fire under choke but would not start either way need some help please thanx bhertel

Do you still have the factory grey fuel line? If so replace, clean carb, fuel selector.
