My GTX has been running well until today, after adding 5 gallons of fresh Amoco fuel, now the red fuel led is illuminated on the gauge. GTX is harder to start now but otherwise seems to run well. Checked the electrical connections from the fuel tank sensor to the computer, everything is tight. Disconnected battery for 10 seconds, reconnected and rechecked, gauge is still illuminated. Have never noticed this led ever illuminating in the past even in low fuel sitruations, has the level sensor failed? Could a contaminated fuel filter cause the light to illuminate?

Thanks in advance for you comments

The Float in the fuel tank may have dropped out of the bottom of the fuel baffel
where a bottom cap on that can become unclipped from wave pounding on hull.
The bafel has four fuel lines and a reader circuit board to read the float as it will
rise & fall with the fuel level, or the magnet on the float became dislodged.
