1996 GTS Wont let me shift

Went for a ride with mom in law, came back, cleared some weeds out of the pump, turned the ride off. wanted a ride alone, started the seedoo, and it idled so high that it would not allow me to shift out of nuetral.
im new to this so please any info would be extremly helpful.

Maybe your throttle cable is suck???? that all i can think of?
