Hi, I essentially had gotten at 1996 GTI motor I rebuilt and popped it into a 95 XP.
I double checked the timing and carb settings and wearring(pretty tight) A.O.K. STILL has the 95 xp mpem!!!! Rpm gauge says it's hovering around 5-6000 ish rpm WOT but does not take off; feels really sluggish and sounds strange. So I'm assuming It's the mpem. I have a 96 gti mpem but its got the DESS on it and this just has the old push start kill switch. Should I swap it over?
