Motor ran fine so I take it to the water and no start. It cranks and cranks no start. It sounds like it starts to catch and the starter immediately disengages. So I repeat that over and over and it won't start. I started it probably 10 times before the ride to the water. Along the way I filled up the gas tank. Couldn't get it to start at the water or back at home. I tried yesterday and today.
I checked spark. All good.
I checked compression, 150 150.
I checked for water in the fuel, none
I tried starting on premix straight into the carbs, no change.
The only thing I notice is the 2 beeps are not there when I put the key on. I can hear the piezo click a little like it no longer beeps but sounds like power is still going there.
Any ideas?

I typically do not do this , but you could give a quick shot of quick start directly into the carb to make sure it is not a fuel issue. Sounds like that’s what it is.

Tried the quick start/starter fluid, premix in carbs, premix in plug holes, different coil. No change. It turns over very quickly and it will "cough" just enough to make the starter disengage. I am now thinking it may be a sheard flywheel key. Any other ideas?

Not a sheared flywheel key, but lots of metal from starter chewing up flyweel. Pickup checked out fine. Stator checked out good.
