1996 787 single engine

Hi after i fixed my oil injection cable went for a ride and coming home the boat stopped, wouldnt start and read through the threads and sounds like the engine locked. i took the cylinder head off to look and found one piston with metal shavins,the pistons are dowm both of them i cant turn the pto by hand, i sparyed some wd40 the only thing i have right now . im new at this and very helpful posts so i did pull the rubber boot off but cant turn by hand. so where else can i look iam not mechanically inclined so .... stumped thanks in advance

Sounds like the engine is toast. You can try pulling the cylinders off.

Doesn't sound good. Remember for next time when you work on the oil jection system you should pre-mix a tank of gas through it to make sure the oil injection is working properly. I mark the tank and go riding around and come back to make sure some is being used. If the engine doesn't turn over by hand you will need to get the egine serviced.

hi well cant turn the pto so what would i need if i were just to buy a whole new engine,the engine is shot.......... need a list like gaskets? not sure again thanks in advance.

Go with a SBT engine exchange. They should be able to tell you what you need to send and what you will need when you install

your engine is done! don't waste any time on it. If you aren't mechanically inclined, I recommend taking it to a qualified shop
