Hello all, first time post.....
First and foremost I want to thank everyone for the WEALTH of information on this site. The whole 5A fuse blowing bit certainly answered a lot of questions. But I'm still left with some questions. I recently bought this boat for $300.00. I knew it was not running and figured I'd gamble for $300 considering the interior, trailer, and hull are all in relatively great shape. . The guy I bought it from was indicating he thought it needed a new stator. After further review I found all the 5A fuse blowing information all over the internet. My 5A fuse definitely blows. So either I'm going to have my IT guy here at work replace the diode or send it off to the gentleman everyone has been mentioning. So on to my questions. I'm not able to get the boat to turnover at all. When I hit the start button I should still get a response even though the 5A fuse is blown correct? I get nothing. I bought a new battery so the power is there. The kill button is fully surpressed. The gear shifter is in neutral. Am I missing something? Could I be in luck and something else is causing the 5A fuse to blow? I also bought and installed a new ignition switch since the keys were missing to the original. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
