1995 Sportster Shoe Replacement

Hi,

Does any one know if the shoe for my 95 Sportster (part # 271000469190) which is listed as an obsolete part can be replaced with the shoe from a 1996 (part # 271000538)? It looks identical except the 1996 shoe doesn't have the spedo? plate, which I would prefer not to have anyway.

There are so many small changes from the 95 boats, to the 96 boats, that I would have to say, no... it probably won't fit.
