I have a 1995 SPI my question is gas and oil mixes automatically no need to pre-mix from factory? I know this is a simple question. What type of oil does it take?

That question will bring out many opinions. :) This is what I run in all my skis except the DI's. You can get it from O'Reilly's Auto parts and Academy Sporting Goods. Generally $26,00 a gallon. I know lots of people that run 2-stroke outboard board oil in their skis. Good Luck and have fun.

Why not use what SeaDoo recommends? SeaDoo prohibits the use of TCW oils in all of their motors. I can only speak from experience and of all the Seadoo 2 strokes I've rebuilt going back to the late 80s, I'd say 90% of them had the blue or green TCW oil in them. Many people say it's fine but I completely disagree based on my experience. SeaDoo recommends an API oil, mineral oil non-synthetic for yours, and put a decal right at the oil cap explaining this.

If you use Lucas I would suggest this one.

I don’t trust any oil that has TCW-3 on the label as there really can’t be a dual rated oil. API-TC and TCW-3 are completely different additive packages and testing so they really can’t be both.

TC-W3 stands for Two Stroke Water Cooled. So the oil is designed for 2-stroke water cooled engines and it meets API-TC specifications. When I called Lucas, the Tech Representative said TC-W3 designation is automatic for a 2-cycle marine engine. The API-TC is simply another test that must be passed. If the oil has the designation it passed the test and is certified. So the Lucas oil is designed for a Two Cycle Water Cooled engine - and it passes the API-TC tests.
