1995 Speedster

I just purchased this past weekend...Runs great, but the speedometer and fuel gauges don't work. Any ideas on troubleshooting to see if it is the gauge or the sensor? Thanks,

Both are known failure items - the speedo is never accurate, it is for riders who are unable to look down to see if the boat is moving, when you have a sore neck you will appreciate the OEM speedo - fuel float is a fix that is not complex or costly but takes time to cement the magnet back to the float and replace a fuse with a strand of wire, lots of info on that here, use the search key.

Thanks for the input on the gas gauge. I'll give that try. I know what you mean on the speedo..not a necessity. But if it is an easy fix, I'd give it a try while I"m tinkering with everything else. Much appreciated.

the speedo on my 95 isnt working either, anyone know the fix?

My 95 Speedster speedometer isn't working either. Just the fuel gauge is working but that's it. I just bought the boat and the guy who sold it to me said they work. I just changed the batteries and was wondering if it could have something to do with that. I think I used it once without the ground connector wire connected to both batteries. I checked the fuses and they seemed ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
