Hi all,
our starbord side engine wont go at all now, lots of spark and its getting oil and fuel but we cant seem to get it to go. We pulled the carb off to clean it and it wasnt to dirty at all, we replaced the 2 little oil lines on the bottom because they were so brittle. we put all back together and still wont run? any ideas would help.

Can you put some pre-mixed gas down the plug holes and see if it will fire up? Have you done a compression test?

Yes we have tried pouring fuel down and nothing, as for the compression test both tested at 135 psi ish

One advantage is having twins. You can swap known good items. I would replace or swap the plugs. Under compression vs not under compression they may or may not spark. Lets eliminate the easy things. Your compression is fine and you know you are getting fuel as you put it in there. Lets confirm compressed spark....

tried that as well, new plugs, switched plugs, and still cant get it to fire, we even put the wet plugs from bad engine into good engine and it fired right up.

You need to use a gauge. Auto zone of advanced auto loan them. Get one that threads into the spark plug threads. Ideal is 150 psi. We can discuss lower results when we get the initial numbers. So good the throttle wide open and crank it a few seconds. Then check the gauge.

Well guys thanks for the help, long story short, we got ripped off and bought a bad boat, one engine being bad and the other on its way, I guess I should of done more homework on this.
But there is always a bright side to a story, was able to trade the boat in to a dealer and they knew it was in rough shape and gave us a challenger model 5 years newer and it runs great, at hte end on the day we are out some money but not a total loss!!
Thanks for all the advise!!
