Hello. I just got my 1995 Speedster out of storage and took it to the house to hopefully start the engines. After a few turns, the starboard engine cranked, and seems to be running fine. The port engine, though, wouldn't turn over. I thought it might be seized until I noticed the slight twist in the hose over the shaft and through-hull. Apparently, the shaft is stuck to the seal carrier. I loosened the clamps on the hose, and the engine turns over fine. I sprayed some PB Blaster in the grease nozzle, hoping that will loosen it up. I would appreciate any advice on how to loosen the shaft from the fitting without having to do major repairs. Had hoped to have it on the water over Memorial day. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.

I just had to do the same thing. First you will have to pull the jet pump to change the seal carrier and get the shaft out. You can unscrew the zerp fitting (this is the fitting on the seal carrier use to add grease to the fitting). After you unscrew it you can use a brake free oil to free it from the bearing inside the carrier. Note: WD 40 is not a brake free oil but it could work. There are quicker and better oils out there. Follow the procedure in the seadoo shop manual for replacing the carrier. Also ebay pricing for the carrier range for about 20 to 35 use and 40 to 100 new. (this is for a complete assembly) I hope this help.
