Make sure you turning the correct Idle screw. It is on the plate near where the throttle cable attaches to the carburetors It has a spring on it and adjusts both carbs at the same time. Don't get confused with the Low Speed, High Speed screws on the carburetors. Also check to see that both carbs open and close in sync. The oil injector cable and the throttle cable should operate in sync also.
Let me know how you make out or if you get in a jam let me know.

Checked, allin sync, what about backfire?

I had another member adjust the Low Speed screw by mistake...that caused the back fire on him. The best way to adjust the idle speed is in the water, after a trial run. If it's in thewater is should idleat about 1500 rpm's. Run it... and see how it works.

never touched the low speed screw/ but what should it be set ?

When you have a problem with a engine in my opinion there are three things you should all ways check. Check compression, check for spark and check to see if it is geting fuel. It seems that you have 2 of these now check for compression on both cylinders. Good luck Robin
