Recently purchased a 1995 Sea Doo HX and when I first took it out a few weeks ago I never heard a beep come from it at any time. Since then I have replaced the spark plugs, two silicone exhaust couplings, and another smaller hose for a water line.

Today I hooked the water hose from my house and went to start it to test for any more leaks and got nothing. Pressed the button a few more times and it beeped at me. I was like, ok never heard that before. Hit the start button repeatedly and finally got it to start. Ran fine so I shut it off and waited a little while. When I tried again I got the same beep a few times and took about a minute of pressing the button until I got it to start. When it started I killed it and it started right up after that.

Any help would be great as I'm new to these and don't know much about them. Thanks!!!

As you own a 13 year old Seadoo, you should seriously consider a Premium Membership with seadooforum.com. Access to the shop manuals as a Premium Member has been indispensible for servicing my 1996 HX.

I do not think I have EVER heard my HX beep in all my 12 years of ownership.....makes me think I should check if the beeper actually even works. Hmmm.

See if the beeping goes away when you disconnect the wire at the head temp sensor between the spark plugs. If so, then the sensor may be bad.
