This problem has probably been answered 100 times. I apologize as a newby.....

I read other posts that tell me how to trouble shoot but what I need help on is getting to the gauges and the top of the gas tank to pull out the baffel and check the magnets. Also, how do the gauges come out? Do they just slip out with the rubber seal??

Could anyone help me on that? Would be greatly appreciated.

thanks from a newbe.

I believe on your model you take out the compartment tray in the front and the steering assy to get the sender out of the fuel tank. Look under the lid where the guage are and there are 2 screws that hold the covers together. I'm thinking that is how you model is set up. I get confused sometimes because of so many models and years of seadoo's.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is taking out the steering mechanism difficult? Let me explain the problem and you can probbaly tell from that which way I should go.

The gas gauge shows no bars and the red LED necxt to the red gas pump is on and stays on even though the tank is full. The other lights (3 of them) along with the gas light come on when starter and soon go out. The gas light stays on......Thanks for any advice you may have.

The Red led light is on next gas pump is on because it believes the tank is low on fuel. The guage says it is low on fuel. I would test for resistance at the sender and also at the guage to be sure a wire isn't broken or shorted out. If it checks out and the signal is going to the end of the wires than it is the guage. If there is no signal of resistance than it is the sender.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will test this out this weekend and see if I can isolate the problem to the gauge or sending unit. I assume that I check resistance across the pink and pink-black wires? Do they run the same colors from the sending unit to the gauge through the connectors?

Thanks again

Yes, that is the correct colors I figured that you know about the test that you also new what colors used for the sender. Seadoo is good in a sense that they use all the sames color codes on all the machines for the same type sender. Be sure it has continuity up to the guage to check for a short also.
