1995 GTS starts easy, fast idle OK, but no power
1995 GTS with oil-pump bypass using premix 89 octane
Granddaughter ran it out of gas. About 5 minutes after fillling at a local marina (she added oil OK) the ski bogged down and would only fast idle.
Here' what I've done and still haven't fixed the problem:
1. Compression and spark are OK
2. Removed one plug wire at a time while in the water under throttle, no change.
3. No binds or slop in drive train
4. Suspected water in marina fuel:
a. removed/dissamble carb-no problem found
b. removed/drained fuel tank-no water noticed
c. replace fuel line/filter
d. fresh 89 oct (no ethanol) fuel
5. Timings OK per Sea-Doo service manual
6. Swapped carb, plugs, plug wires from a 1994 GTS I own
7. Suspected water/obstruction in exhaust, removed tuned exhaust&muffler, no problems found
8. Wanted to swap electrical box w/1994, but not compatabile
Any suggestions? Hopefully it's something silly that I've overlooked..........SKIP
