1994 xp burning computer

I have a 1994 seadoo xp that while riding smoked a computer(fire) burned right through back of electrical box..I installed another unit and after starting it blew out 5 amp fuse and again started to bellow smoke from computer...i'm stumped on this any help would be helpful...also need another computer setup...will to buy entire electrical box...or better yet sell my ski...

Electrical short.........

You obviously have a bad electrical short to do that. Give me a minute while I go look at your wiring diagraphm.

Are you smokin the "amplifier" or the "electronic control module"...?

Your electronic control module is proteced by a 5 amp fuse and the only way you can be burning it in the way you describe is that you've put a higher amp fuse in it than it ought to have.

I think your smokin your amplifier.

See if you can get a part number or if you just put on a new one, give me the numbers off it........

these computers had larger fuses in it for some reason...please explain this both were used computers.....sure wish i went new

no you don't. new costs about 500 bucks. you blew 2 of them. you would have blown a new one also more than likely. seadoo wouldn't have refunded your money. i think you need a stator.
