I just did a drive shaft rebuild kit on one of the engines. today I took the boat out and was taking on water pretty heavily... I pulled the boat and inspected everything and all looked good. Is there a known issue of where these boats take on water? I haven't used this boat in over a year but don't remember having any major water issues before..

There aren't any real known issues... but you can take water in from any of the transom fittings, the drive shaft fitting, or even the joint where the lower hull meets the top hull.

All you can do, is put it back in the water, and look for the leak.

If you have been working on the driveshaft id be looking at the carbon seal, is the stainless ring sitting right and pushed back on the carbon seal firmly, clip in place, check the rubber boot for tears etc

If its that bad you should be able to see it just backing it into the water and leaving it on the trailer
