put in a new mpem and it went bad after a couple of minutes running after jumping it any thought on what could be causing this.

Put in a new aftermarket mpem and plugged it all in and started right up however some water leaked above the engine and died only to discover that the 5 amp fuse went out
. Then I did an ohms test and discovered that the mpem went bad. Also connected jump to mpem after and ️ appeared telling me something was wrong

I feel like it might be getting a surge in power but don't now what could be causing this
