This is my first post so not sure if i have posted in teh right place.

i have a 1994 seadoo xp and it ran great for ages then one day took it out and the front cylinder popped it smash a chunck out the piston, i have been told it was due to the cylinder not getting any oil and a pipe must be blocked does anyone know what pipes to check or what else it could be and they says it not the carb as the other cylinder is perfect i was told oil comes up from the crank ????? :S

thanks

hM.. dO YOU HAVE A DUAL CARB SETUP? If so one cyclinder usually goes lean. Look at the oil lines that go into the block they should be full and if not theres 1 problem also i don't know how to check but your oil pump could of gone bad however that wouldn't explain why only 1 cyclinder went bad unless that cyclinder was also oil deprived. It matters tear it down and take a look. It could of been a number of things. Oil pump failure ( would show some signs of damage to both cyclinders. so this is not likley) Dual carb setup your running a little to lean and it could of finally given out.<---large chance of this. um.. i dk i need pics of the inside of the head to see also these skis need a light rebuild at 240 hrs!
