I am talking to a guy who has a 1994 seadoo speedster. He says that both motors need to be gone through since they haven't been started in a long time. Carbs need rebuilt as well. Reverse or steering cable needs replaced not sure which one he said. Seats need to be redone. Needs new wear rings. Basically the boat was running at the time it was parked and just has sat for around 6-7 years. All the seats and motors and impellers have already been taken out.

What would be a good price for the boat?

This spring I found a 96 Speedster in about the same condition, except it had one good motor (new SBT rebuild), he had the paper work and one motor with a hole in the piston. The only good thing on the boat was the hull, except for being dull it was perfect. Anyway I passed on it, he's still got the boat and I may make him and offer of a few hundred this fall, when prices drop. I'm looking at it as a winter project.

There are a couple of ways of looking at this and it's also contingent on if you can do the work yourself. To be honest by the time you're finished you're going to have more time and money in the boat than it's worth, but you will have basically a new boat. So if you are buying it to keep yes, if you are buying to fix up and resell no.
