1994 GTS fuel issue

Hey there. So I changed out the grey fuel lines and put in a carb kit. I've double checked to make sure that the lines are properly connected, but I've got an issue where the seadoo will run if the pulse line is off but I attach it, the engine dies. It'll start again if I take the pulse line off, but just won't do connected. Any ideas what the deal is?

are you sure you have the lines connected properly: pulse, inlet, outlet on the carb?

Yes. I have 2 of the same year and model. Both got the carb job and new lines. One works great and I've compared and googled to make sure that everything is hooked up properly.
