1993 sp question

hi, I recently bought a pair of 1993 sea doo jet skis one is an xp and the other an sp. took them out the other day for the first time and they both performed well with no issues out of either one. the xp has a 650cc engine and the sp has a 580cc engine. my question is there anything I can do to get a little more go out of the sp so they are a little more even? the xp has electic trim but it don't work but I can tell its trimmed up a lot more than the sp. any help would be much appreciated. thx, chris
