1993 Seadoo SP issue
Recently purchased what I belive to be a 1993 Seadoo sp. Unsure if it is a 93or 94 (old MO registration says 94, old KS registration reads 93 and the hull is date DEC 1993. I really dont care just wanted to know if there are differences that i need to be aware of when reading info and working on myself. Have had it out three times, all three times it will run like a striped a$$ ape for about 15 minutes then it will start bogging down at 3/4 throttle. The bogging down seems to get progressively worse if i keep riding, hasnt just completly cut out on me and when I turn off it always fires right up and idles great. I have read about replacing the grey lines, cleaning the carbs, fuel, all filter ect., checking rectifier, ect. I just find it odd that it would run great all three times for roughly 15-20 min then start acting up (not overheating). Any other ideas, I also read something about a certain type of oil (TC-W3" ashless) I have been using valvoline 2 stroke. It is still premix and it is using oil from the oil res.
