1993 GTS Headache

I recently rebuilt a 93 GTS and replaced the propeller. It is running great with good compression in the cylinders. I can ride myself and it is fast on the water, but when a passenger gets on it bogs down and refuses to move. My buddy says it might be because the wear ring is shot. Any other ideas? Thnxs

when you say "bog down" does that mean you are unable to keep revs up? If it was a wear ring then it would rev up and just not go anywhere, or not very fast anyway.

Check the basics like fuel supply and good spark. Do you have problems with one rider on it? Like not reaching max rpm or hesitations?

It flies with one rider, (no way to gauge speed no speedometer on 93 gts models only gtx; any way to add one?) by bog down i mean does not move in the water or want to get up on plane. Fuel is fresh and carb was recently redone, spark is good and fresh plugs. It does rev up just doesnt want to go.

check wear ring clearance. No more than 1mm between ring and blade edge.
