1993 GTS carb needle valve spring color

Hi:

Rebuilding my 1993 GTS carb. The kit came with a shiny silver needle valve spring as compared to the gold colored spring that was in the carb. Should I use the new shiny silver spring, reuse the old gold spring or what? I am replacing the needle valve and seat.

USE THE STOCK SPRING....replace everything else, but not the spring.:cheers:
