Hi, I have just bought a 1992 xp which has been laid up for a couple of years, I have put a new battery on and changed the plugs, I have a spark and the engine cranks but won't start. I have put new fuel and oil in. When I removed the fuel line to the carbs and pressed the starter I expected fuel to flow out but nothing much happened, can anyone give me some advice as to where to start troubleshooting this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

hey bri...since you got spark, and she turns over, pull the plugs out/pour some mix gas down arrestor/s, and get it to fire. Motor will cause a vacuum affect, to pull gas thru lines to da carb/s...

I had a similar problem on a 92 GTS and found that the pickup tubes in the tank had deteriorated and both the main and reserve lines were only half thier original length and the pickup screens were laying in the bottom of the tank. You could get gas if the tank was near full but lower than 3/4 tank was a problem. I pulled the tank and replaced the hoses, Then cleaned the pickup screens with carb cleaner and compressed air. This solved the problem.
Hope this helps.

Brian Welcome to the seadoo forum. It sounds like you need to pull the carb and give it a cleaning. If it has been sitting for awhile the old fuel evaporated and more than likely gummed up the carb. It needs to be cleaned and that should be 1/2 your problem. Be sure it has fresh fuel and the other lines the other members suggested to check, all check out fine too. If you need a manual to help out the forum has a large library available to "premium Members"
Here is some more information on the "premium membership";
