Our familry really enjoys our two Sea Doos. One is a 1997 gsx and the other is a 1992 Spi Dealer says that SPi didn't come out until 1993 so he says there was no SPi for 1992. Maybe the model came out on a 1/2 year, I don't know.
Anyway, the 1997 is pretty reliable, but the 1992 doesn't always want to start. It doesn't seem to matter when it acts up. When cold, right off the trailer, or at the beach after it's been run a while, but then left unattended for an hour after we play at the beach for a while. Each year I get a battery from Wal Mart, so I don't think its a battery issue. I try to charge the batt on my Sear s charger in the garage overnight before we leave for the next day. I cant figure it out, sometimes it sounds like it fails to engage, sometime it just clicks
Do we need a new starter ? If so, is it easy to install ? What motor model do we have, or what starter model do we need ?
