1992 GTX Sea Doo wont shut off

Once the boat is running even if u pull the key it will not shut off in order to shut it off u have to take the seat off and choke it to shut it off....anyne got any ideas?!?!? My husband had to take the starter off because it was all gummed up so he cleaned it up and put it back on and now when it starts it wont shut off....I told him he fixed that starter to good..lol...

Of course. Carry a .38 snub nose, and shoot the thing!

Seriously, I don't know what is wrong with it.

But, you could possibly get together with that guy that couldn't get his to start, and share some parts!

Then, both of them would work right!

you got some wires mixed up in the electrical box. Happened to me while I was redoing my box and through trial and error I figured it out. Helps to download a manual and use the wiring diagram. What's happening is the miswiring is not shutting off the spark when the key is pulled. Go through your wires again and you will most likely find the problem.
