Hi, looking for help. My '92 GTX will run on the water for 10-15 mins before stalling out and will not restart for about 15 mins or more. The acceleration seems off, but power is there, in other words, it revs as if the powerband is different from before (hard to explain). Seems to be running a bit rough on deceleration, as well.
I've had it running on the trailer for 45 mins (revving it up every now and then) and it didn't skip a beat. But in the water, 10-15 mins is all I get.
What's been done:
New CDI
New ignition coil
Carbs have been rebuilt
Temp sensor tested fine
Compression is at 110/125 psi
All coolant passages are clear and water is flowing as it should
Been fouling plugs off and on...the rotary valve was reset, but curious, IF it is off a bit, what are the symptoms?
Any advice is appreciated.
