I was out yesterday and it would not run right. so i changed out the plugs and that did the trick but it only went for about 2 minutes then it was like the kill switch was being pushed and it will not start at all now. it cranks and cranks but wont fire at all. any input on this matter will be greatly appreciated . thank you in advance.

Hello amped14

Riding in Alaska? That sounds like a challenging place to ride PWCs! With such a short riding season, we need to get you boat running as fast as possible!

By the way, signing up as a Premium Member gives you access to the shop manuals which contained detailed maintenance and repair information. Your boat is coming on to 19 years of service and there are bound to be things that need some attention to continue enjoying your SP.

Okay, on with your problem......as Robin indicated, you need to verify that there is spark at all.

You should also check that fuel is getting to the carb. The link below will help with the walkthrough:
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/seadooforums/Seadoo_oem/Seadoo_PWC.asp?Type=13&A=2&B=13

- See if the fuel filter is clean.
- Is fuel getting to the filter bowl? Yes would mean the bowl spills out fuel when you spin it off.
- Then you will need to check out this link to check the rest of the fuel system. http://seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=5563

Let us know what is going on so we can help you out!

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I want to thank you guys first and foremost for answering my post so quickly and helping me dig deeper into the problem. I took the flywheel cover off and found that one plug wire was completely out of the coil. So i stuffed it back inthere and am giving the battery a good charge. i should be able to test it out tomorrow hopefully. thanks again!!
